How should I care for and clean my terracotta products?Â
​Terracotta is a natural material. To clean your products, gently hand-wash them with plain water or a mild soap using a soft sponge. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemical detergents, as they can damage the natural porous surface and finish.
Are terracotta decorative products safe for outdoor use and rain?Â
​Yes, terracotta products are completely safe for outdoor display, such as in gardens, balconies, or patios. While terracotta does not dissolve in water and can withstand rain.
Before using kadhai these are the steps
To make your terracotta kadai durable and ready for cooking, please follow these steps before first use and during regular cooking:
​Step 1: Soak in Water – Submerge the new kadai completely in plain water overnight (8–10 hours).
​Step 2: Sun-Dry – Remove it from the water and let it dry completely under direct sunlight.
​Step 3: Oil / Ghee Seasoning – Apply a generous layer of cooking oil or ghee all over the kadai (inside and outside) so it absorbs into the clay pores. Place it in the sun again to dry.
​Step 4: Hot Water Treatment – Pour warm water into the kadai and let it sit for a few minutes. This helps the oil set deep into the clay to create a natural non-stick coating. Discard the water and sun-dry the kadai completely.
​Step 5: Pre-Oil Before Heating – Always add oil or water to the dry kadai before placing it on the gas stove. Never heat an empty clay kadai on hot flame.
​Step 6: Handle with Care – Avoid using metal tongs or kitchen pincers (sandshi) to lift a hot kadai, as the pressure can crack or break the warm clay. Always use heat-resistant oven mitts or a dry cloth to handle it.
​How can I prevent mold or white spots from forming on raw terracotta?
Since unglazed terracotta breathes and absorbs moisture, natural mineral deposits (white residue) or slight mold can sometimes appear if kept wet for extended periods in dark areas. Simply wipe it down with a mixture of warm water and a little vinegar using a clean cloth, then dry it completely in direct sunlight.

What should I bring to the workshop?
Just your creativity! We provide all the clay, tools, and aprons needed for the session. However, we do recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dusty with earth.
Do I need prior experience?
Not at all. Our classes are designed for all levels, especially beginners. Our instructors will guide you through every step, from wedging the clay to centering on the wheel and pulling your first walls.
What is the booking and cancellation policy?
Bookings can be made on WhatsApp . Click on the given link. We offer a full refund for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the workshop begins. Cancellations within 48 hours are eligible for a partial credit towards a future session.
